  • Pickling vs. Fermentation

    These two preservation techniques are applicable to almost any fruit and vegetable. Learn the basics, the differences & how to trouble shoot. You’ll leave equipped with a skill sure to inspire you and future generations in the kitchen.

    Your teacher will be Nico, who works at the farm as well as homesteads. She is a farmer, chef & forager who is obsessed with preservation. She loves sharing this knowledge to help others get comfortable and excited about it too.

    Class cost $35, includes a jar of veggies!

    Oxymels? Switchels? Shrubs? These buzz words are common in craft cocktails, for a good reason! They are medicinal and flavorful. We are going to go over the differences, how to make your own & experiment with blending. The great thing is you don’t event need to add alcohol to enjoy them!

    All classes will be hosted at Old School Farm, located at 5022 Old Hydes Ferry Pike Nashville, TN 37218.
