Foggy mornings, baby greens, beets and carrot seedlings… Fall is descending on the farm. We’re eeking out the last of the summer produce – tomatoes, peppers, okra, basil…, and at the same time, gleefully gathering up winter squash and fall greens.
Would you like to try out a CSA for the month of October? For four weeks of produce, you can buy a ½ share for $60 or a full share for $100. We’d recommend the half for new CSA customers, but if you’ve got lots of mouths to feed, or want to split a share with a friend, the full is a great option. You’ll be able to pick up on Tuesday afternoons at the Farm or Saturday mornings at the Richland Park Farmers’ Market. Email us ASAP and send a check to the Old School Farm, 5022 Old Hydes Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN, 37218.
If you want to know more about our Community Supported Agriculture program, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
GREAT NEWS, we just received our official acceptance as a tax-exempt 501-c3 non-profit! So when you donate to the farm, or support it as a CSA customer, you’ll get that money back at the end of the year as a tax deduction.
October will be a great month for produce. Lettuce, spinach, carrots, beets, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, spring onions… The Richland Park Farmers’ Market keeps going every Saturdaymorning through 10/25. Come visit us, 9 am – 12 pm! That’s at Richland Park, 4711 Charlotte Ave, 37209. Jared, Josh, and Jeremy are starting to try their hands at selling our wares, and having a blast so far!
We’ll be kickin up our heels this fall with more square dances! Mark your calendar for the third Saturdays of October and December.
